homer1033 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Hi everyone, yes i know this has been covered a few times but I've just bought my first Galaxy on a S reg 2.0ltr Silver (believe its mica stone) and it doesn't come with the rear windows tinted or the roof rails which i required. I have sorted the roof rails thanks to a nice chap on eBay, But I'd like the widows tinted because of the young children we have and was wondering how hard is it ?? These are the tints i was looking at and wondering has anybody used the pre cut ones ??????http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PRE-CUT-CAR-WINDOW-T...%3A1|240%3A1318 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PRE-CUT-WINDOW-TINT-...%3A1|240%3A1318 Thanks Kevin Quote
gregers Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 yes it has been covered numerous times do a search on it and then decide if is the route you want to take,or see if you can get a set of windows in the tint you want from ebay. Quote
suzuki91 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 i had a go at tinting but really struggled for the rear window, so gave up and paid for it to be done. cost about Quote
marinabrid Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 also be careful cleaning them, dont use windowlene it has some chemical in that eats the film away, also some others do as well and some of the wipes you can get. use autoglym fast glass thats good. keep th ekids sticky fingers of it as well, i didnt and two are now a mess due to cleaning them with wrong stuff. Wez Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I have tinted several vehicles over the years but decided to have a garage do my Galaxy. I will never do another car again. The professionals are the only way to go. Quick and fantastic results. I recently had to remove the front side window film as they changed the law on that but all the windows from the B post back can be done. Mine has been on for over 7 years now and there isn't a fault on it. I have seen the result of DIY on so many vehicles and would not consider it worth the bother. results are rubbish to fair. Never seen a perfect job done DIY ever. Plus you will get a warrenty with the pro's too Quote
